Aliens is life from that may occur outside the Earth and that does not originate from Earth. Such life may range from simple prokaryotes to intelligent creatures. Drake's equation explains the existence of material life elsewhere in the universe. The science of space life outside the earth is called astrobiology.

UFO-Sverige's core activity is to investigate the public's reports of unidentified flying objects, where these are investigated after investigation, often as misinterpretation phenomena, such as can be misinterpreted by the observer as being something mysterious, such as meteors, planets and aircraft at a distance. Among the reports that are received are examples of phenomena that are not easy to explain, and that deserve further research.
The organization is made up of local representatives and a few local groups and publishes the magazines UFO-Aktuellt with four issues per year and Rapport-Nytt with four issues per year. UFO-Sveriges Radio is the podcast that the organization runs.

The statutes state, among other things, that "one must counteract uncritical thinking, unjustified skepticism or blind faith about the UFO phenomenon" and "conduct and promote research to gain increased knowledge about the UFO phenomenon." The organization is politically and religiously independent.
Chairman since May 4, 2013, is Anders Berglund.
The national organization UFO-Sweden's attitude is that there are UFO reports that represent hitherto unknown or insufficiently investigated phenomena and stimuli and that there may be several unknown phenomena that do not have to have any connection with each other but are all reported as UFOs.

In addition to keeping records, the center has provided statistics and graphs to assist others in searching for information. Slate Magazine published an interactive graph published by the current director, Peter Davenport, showing the density of location-related views.
Davenport has never said any of the two events are the same but has listed lists of flying saucers, colored lights, and triangles, over the years. Davenport describes himself as a UFO believer, but skeptical, and is commanded by James Oberg for providing significant service to the industry. The work has been described as ‘secretary’ rather than ‘fun’, as the years have gone by.
Since its inception in 1974, the Center has provided a 24-hour toll-free telephone number for people to report on ongoing UFO activities in their area. It also has an online form for submitting written reports.
Peter Davenport, a business graduate of Stanford University and the University of Washington in Seattle, who participated shortly after hearing about Kelly-Hopkinsville's reunion, has served as director of the organization since 1994.
The organization has been used by the Stamford police department for years, although the events have always had a full meaning.
